Changing Careers

A lot of people want to change careers, though not many of us have the courage to do it. But you'll find a robust support system for people like you at The Chef's Academy. In fact, quite a few of our students are juggling the schedule, family and financial demands that come with starting a second career. We'd love to put you in touch with someone to talk about their experience and how they've found it to be worth the effort. Feel free to contact us with any concerns you have.

We've found that people in the culinary industry develop not only a sense of belonging, but almost immediately after that, a sense of purpose. Some know they want to do this right out of high school. Others, perhaps like you, come to us after a career that isn't as rewarding as they'd hoped - maybe financially, maybe emotionally. Some are even convinced to combine two loves after the economy forces their hand. (Only the artistic side of this industry could combine such seemingly opposite disciplines as banking and pastry arts in order to come up with the perfect fit for opening a bakeshop.)

Whatever the reason, we have plenty of students on a path to a career they feel destined for rather than railroaded into. And whether you think you can use your past experiences to make yourself that much more marketable or just want to start from scratch, we have a place for you at The Chef's Academy.
