At The Chef's Academy you'll get hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art kitchens and can take advantage of a mobile wireless computer lab, spacious student lounge, and well-equipped learning resource center.

The learning resource center (LRC), essentially our library, is equipped with nine stationary computers, 85 laptops, more than 400 books, 19 magazine subscriptions, 254 e-books, six databases, and a full-time references librarian to help steer you in the right direction. There are online research guides for Culinary Arts and Pastry Arts, along with business and communications. We also have video tutorials on databases and APA style writing. We even have online chat reference and text reference available 24 hours a day. The LRC is open 54 hours a week:

Public Transportation
Indiana
The public transportation service for Indianapolis is Indygo. There are three bus routes (number 12, 14 and 55) that stop ½ block from The Chef's Academy. For other bus routes and schedules please go to www.indygo.net or call 317-635-3344. Once enrolled you have the option of purchasing a bus pass from the school.
North Carolina
The North Carolina campus is located near a bus stop, but is not directly on a bus line. For more information look to the public transportation systems website.
Parking
Indiana
We are located at 644 E. Washington Street and have available parking in the lots directly to the East and West of our school. Once enrolled in school you will be provided with a parking pass that will allow you to park in any of those lots.
North Carolina
The North Carolina campus is located at 2001 Carrington Mills Blvd. Morrisville, NC. The campus has ample parking for all students, staff, and faculty.
Gym Membership
Indiana
The school is currently in collaboration with Fitness Now Gym to give a discounted rate for students attending The Chef's Academy. There is a one time joining fee of $25.00 with membership costs of $29.97 per month. If 15 Chef's Academy students/faculty/staff sign up, our monthly rate will be $25/month. The gym is conveniently located right around the corner from our school at 435 Virginia Avenue.
Gardens
We have five organic gardens that change seasonally and we pride ourselves on all-natural, all-organic produce intended for the use of our students. From tomatoes to peppers to herbs to berries, if a recipe calls for something that grows, there's a good chance you'll find it literally within feet of the building.
Student Resource Services
The school has a free, confidential program that provides professional assistance and valuable resources to help resolve any issue that interferes with a student's success. The Chef's Academy also employs a full-time student resource coordinator who is trained to assist students when they experience hardships and can help provide information on community resources (child care, emergency housing, legal advice, mental health counseling, energy assistance, etc). Because it's more than just your education that's important to us.
